Sister Eman has been with the Academy nearly twenty years.  She has a Bachelor's Degree in English and a Masters Degree in English with Teacher's Licensure & Certification.  Since joining the Academy, she has taught throughout the Middle School but has focused on Grade 6 & 7 for the past decade.

In the classroom, Sister Eman shares personal real-life experiences and stories to bring lessons to life and provide contextual meaning for her Students.  Sister Eman's life experience growing up in America, instills her with passion to guide Muslim Youth in being proud of their identity and flourishing in our society.  

 

In the current academic year, Sister Eman teaches Language Arts to both 6th and 7th Grade, engaging them in such activities as Letters About Literature in addition to regular Curriculum.  In Grade 6 Math, she focuses Students on working with rational numbers and preparing Students for Algebra, solidifying many concepts.

 

She also fosters Student participation in Sadaqah, supporting Students in attending our Food Pantry Initiative: Jeremiah Pantry & Shelter).
