Sister Sophia has been with Al-Hamra for over seven years.  In addition to Grade 6 Homeroom, Sister Sophia approaches Social Studies with Grades 6 through 8 with a student-centered approach.

Sister Sophia's Social Studies curriculum and instruction employ real-world application, project and inquiry-based learning with an emphasis on current affairs as she helps Students navigate through World Civilizations, Geography, Economics, Government and World History. She encourages her Students to become critical thinkers and active participants in civic society.

Sister Sophia possesses a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering.
