Hafiz Othman Ladan

Hifz Instructor

Hafiz Othman serves as the Assistant Imam and Youth Director at the Worcester Islamic Center. He brings a diverse background in youth mentorship and public health, having previously worked as a Health Educator and Youth Mentor at UMass Memorial Hospital, supporting at-risk students in Worcester Public Schools.


In addition, he serves as a part-time chaplain at the Worcester County House of Correction, offering guidance and support to incarcerated individuals.


A certified Hafidh of the Qur'an with ijazah in both memorization and recitation, Hafiz Othman studied at the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah (UAE), the Institute of Qur'an in Egypt, and Raji Academy for Qur'an in Saudi Arabia, specializing in the canonical modes of Qur'anic recitation ('Uloom al-Qira'at).


He holds a B.S. in Public Health from University of Potsdam (NY) and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Islamic Studies and Religious
