7th Grade Annual Food Drive
On Thursday, May 4th, 7th Grade students took a field trip to Helping Hand USA, New England In-Kind Center to complete their work with this year's community outreach through a school-wide Annual Food Drive. With the donations and support of Al-Hamra parents, students and community members, 7th Grade was able to exceed our goal of 75 food boxes and raised enough money to sponsor 112 food boxes! Author's Visit to Gr 4 & Up!
4th & 5th Graders had an visit from Vita Murrow, author of The Whale. In the story, "there is a legend that a Great Spotted Whale lives in the ocean, although a sighting fifty years ago was never corroborated. Now two young whale watchers each set out to find the whale, one armed with sound-recording equipment, the other with a camera. When their boats collide, they pool their resources to capture incontrovertible proof that the mythical whale exists." Both Grade 4 and 5 lear
